01

Identify the intended audience

Describe the audience in business terms: what they need to evaluate, what information they look for, and what makes a supplier or brand credible to them. Avoid trying to appeal to everyone.

02

Make your difference specific

Generic words such as premium or innovative rarely clarify a choice. Explain the business practices, information, service, or experience that support your position. Only publish claims you can substantiate.

03

Connect the message to the experience

Translate your position into a short introduction, a clear navigation system, and helpful page content. Your visual identity should reinforce the message instead of making readers work to understand it.

04

Use a repeatable review question

Before approving an asset, ask: does this help the intended audience understand what the business does and why it is relevant? Apply the same question to packaging briefs, website copy, and inquiry follow-up.
